SilentiumPC added today to their Fera CPU cooler series with the Fera 2 HE1224 . The new version increases cooling performance and reduces noise compared to previous models in the series, at lower price point.
Contact between the base of the cooler and the CPU is also improved by means of the newly designed mounting system , the heat dissipation area is increased, and there are now four 6mm heat-pipes, all giving Fera 2 a drop in load temperatures up to 2°C compared to its predecessor, according to SIlentiumPC.
The cooler is equipped with a quiet 120mm PWM fan with a rotation speed of 500-1400 RPM and a noise interval of 8,1 dBA to 21 dBA at full load.
The compact size of the Fera 2 means it does not interfere with RAM slots, and at a height of 158 mm, it fits into smaller cases as well.
Fera 2 comes bundled with the Pactum PT-1 thermal compound and an extra pair of mounting clips for an additional 120mm fan (not included). The cooler is compatible with modern CPU socket: Intel 775, 1150, 1155, 1156, 1366, 2011 and AMD 754, 939, 940, AM2(+), AM3(+), FM1, FM2.
The Fera 2 is now available for a suggested retail price of $31,00, and comes with a 24 month warranty.
