Double Fine developer has announced that the Grim Fandango remake is to be prepared for PC, Mac, and Linux.
These new versions will be added to the previously announced PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita editions, which were confirmed during Sony’s E3 conference, in June.
"Reap your heart out! We're pleased to announce Grim Fandango will also be available on PC, Mac, and Linux alongside PlayStation 4 and Vita," the studio stated via Twitter on Wednesday.
Tim Schafer, the Double Fine founder and Grim Fandango creator confirmed in June that his team is currently working on rebuilding Grim Fandango from the ground-up for the new-gen console release.
Until now, no details on the remake have been announced, but we can expect considerably improved graphics, now sound, and perchance additional content to expand the original.
Double Fine also confirmed that all versions of the game will launch simultaneously, "So everyone can play day one and not have to worry about those spoilers you've been successfully avoiding for the past fifteen years." When that day will come remains a mystery, but right now the fact that it's happening at all is good enough for me.
