The first episode for Blizzard’s upcoming Hearthstone expansion, Curse of Naxxramas: A Hearthstone Adventure, is slated for release in the Americas on July 22 and a day later in Europe, Blizzard has confirmed.
Curse of Naxxramas is the first single-player campaign in Hearthstone, and will give players access to a series of increasingly difficult fights, along with new cards and a new game board. The expansion follows the Raid’s original template, being split in five wings with multiple bosses.
Blizzard will release one wing per week in the following order: Arachnid Quarter (Maexxna), Plague Quarter (Loatheb), Military Quarter (The Four Horsemen), Construct Quarter (Thaddius), and Frostwyrm lair (Kel’thuzad).
Each wing is said to cost $6.99//£4.99 or 700 in-game gold, which can be earned either by completing daily quests, through the Arena matches, or with each 3 matches. However, the first wing, the Arachnid Quarter, will be free to everyone during its first month of availability as part of a launch period offer.
