The original Bioshock game is slated to arrive on iOS devices this summer, with the developer promising to deliver “the complete experience” on PC and consoles.
2K Games announced today that Irrational Games’ 2007 title will come to iOS, and deliver the “complete experience of the original” game, which was made available on Xbox 360 and PC in 2007, and on PS3 the following year.
The game has been scaled down to ensure it runs properly within Apple’s 2GB size-limit. The limitation also means the removal of dynamic shadows and fog. The game features optimised touch-controls, and Bluetooth controller support.
The port has been put together by 2K China, the developer behind the XCOM Enemy Unknown iOS port.
The game will soon be made available and will be compatible with iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad 4, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, and iPhone 5.
