Assassin’s Creed Unity release date was pushed back for two weeks, Ubisoft has announced.
The publisher announced Thursday that the PS4, PC, and Xbox One latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Unity will be made available on November 11 in North America and November 13 in Europe.
"This being a fully next-gen game, it requires a lot of work, a lot of production, and a lot of learning," said Vincent Pontbriand, senior game-designer at Ubisoft Montreal, in a post on the Ubiblog.
"It's always hard to be precise and to quantify exactly how much work is involved. So as we get close to the finish we often realize we're near the target but we're not quite there yet."
The post also stated the team will keep working on the game past its shipment day, in order to prepare a Day 1 patch “that offers more improvements to Unity.” This is the PS4, Xbox One and PC only Assassin’s Creed title coming out this year, whilst Assassin’s Creed Rogue is prepared for PS3 and Xbox 360.
