Polish developer Techland announced that its upcoming open-world zombie game, Dying Light will release on Jaunary 27, 2015.
The game was originally scheduled to arrive this fall, but was delayed until February 2015, when it wopuld have been made available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC. The game will launch ahead of Evolve and Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, two other big titles releasing a few weeks later.
Dying Light is available for pre-order today, and pre-purchasing it will unlock the 'Be the Zombie' mode, in which you play as a special breed of deadly zombie called Night Hunter, who is exceptionally fast and agile. As such, your task will be to seek out and kill other players.
Alonside Dying Light, Techland is also working on the third-person hack-and-slash Hellraid, a medieval fantasy game with a pretty impressive combat system (and not much else unfortunately). Techland has previously worked on the Dead Island series, with the next Dead Island title being handed over to Yager Entertainment, the people behind Spec Ops: The Line.
