Fractal Design Node 804 chassis review - A great cube to use

Value

At the time of writing, Fractal Design's Node 804 is available for $127.99 / EUR 95,40, which is the appropriate price for what it has to offer. There are very few cases that manage to skirt the edge between enthusiast and consumer, and Node 804 does it gracefully, even though it boasts what could be called a more square-figure.

Closing Thoughts

The Node 804 is a micro-ATX chassis that makes full use of its unorthodox form-factor, providing a great deal of space in what’d seem as a small enclosure. This is a case designed for enthusiasts, but through a general consumer lens. This is most likely one of its strengths, but at the same time, it’s also a weakness.

It still isn’t a fully-fledged case, and there are some towering monstrosities that, well, tower over it. However, if you make do with the space (format) and the features it sports, this lil beast demands a proper system, with some dedicated cooling thrown into the mix, and a lot of storage space.

Pros Cons

 - Clever use of space;

- Loads of cooling options;

- Integrated fan-controller;
- Many, many filters;

- A lot of storage space;

- Side I/O might be an issue;
- Not the best cable management;
- Still bulky;
