With Just Cause 3 announced this week, new screenshots and details have been made available.
According to GameInformer, the game will see the return of protagonist Rico Rodrigues who will fight against a dictatorship in his home country, a fictional Mediterranean island nation of Medici.
Not only that, but the developer Avalanche Studios, revealed that the game would not be free-to play or feature any kind of micro-transactions. However, the title will still be supported post-launch by the release of DLC packs and items.
The game will feature a 400 square mile map with three separate areas, each of which will be fully explorable from the beggining of the game. As he travels, Rico can take command of small towns, in doing so unlock fast-travel options, hideouts or save vehicles that can be called as supply drops.
Driving mechanics will also be redone by a team of developers who previously worked on the Burnout series.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that Just Cause 3 is slated for release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC in 2015.
