Price & Value
Determining a headphone-stand's optimum price is not as easy as it might seem. I'd say you shouldn't pay more than 25% of the headphone's price-point, whcih validates that $400 purchase, if you have what to strap onto it.
In EBA01 case, with its build-quality, is clearly worth its $60 / £40 / 49,9 EUR asking-price.
I still find it a little bizarre to dedicate an entire write-up to a headphone stand. I know there are many variants out there, and if you’re active in any audiophile community, you found at least half-a-dozen DIY tutorials as well. Worth mentioning is that, even the best of these, cannot match something purposefully crafted for your headphones.
On its own, EBA01 is a beautifully crafted piece of aluminum. Its design is minimalistic, but still striking. The elongated hanger can hold several cans at the same time, and its softly rounded top ensures only a small indent on the headband cushions.
However, that doesn’t mean it comes with no issues. If the hanger would have had slightly rounded-off edges, particularly towards the end, it would have been a nigh-on flawless item.
