Grand Theft Auto 5's PS4 version will come with extra features that support the unique side of the DualShock 4 controller, Sony has revealed.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, the company has detailed a number of unique features made possible by the controller's touch-pad, speaker and light-bar.
Players will be able to use the touch-pad for various controls like switching camera perspectives, changing radio stations, swapping through weapons or quick-tossing grenades during the middle of a gun-fight.
Police radio chatter will instead play through the DualShock 4's internal speaker instead of through the TV. The speaker will also be used when receiving calls from friends and Michael, Trevor and Frankling.
Lastly, the controller's light-nar will change color based on what character you are playing, and it will flash red and blue when the police are chasing you.
Grand Theft Auto V is due to release on November 18, 2014 on Xbox One and PS4. Meanwhile, the PC version, originally slated for release this year, will be made available on January 27, 2015.
The new-gen / PC version features not only a graphical overhaul, but also an increase in size and scope, as well as the much-advertised first-person mode.
