Bandai Namco has announced that a new Dark Souls 2 version, dubbed Scholar of the first Sin will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and DirectX 11 PCs.
Slated for release in Americas on April 7, 2015, Scholar of the First Sin will include all the DLC (Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King), plus new content and a host of new features and enhancements, detailed in the reveal trailer.
That doesn't mean Last-gen players are lefgt behind. Scholar of the First Sin will also be made available on PS3, Xbox 360 and DirectX 9 PCs, as a compilation version containing the game and all DLC missions. It won't include the enhanced graphics and sound, but these versions will receive the additional content through a free "large-scale update, which will add new features including an additional NPC to seek out along the treacherous quest through Drangleic as well as expanded story, in-game events, improved balance, and online matchmaking functionality."

The Xbox One, PS4 and DirectX 11 PC versions will come with the following features:
Additional upgrades to graphics, sound and optimization;
An increase in the number of simulatenous players (up to 6 in total)
Meanwhile, the following features will be available to everyone:
Additional NPCs added for an enhanced story experience
Parameter adjustments for improved game balance
Augmented item descriptions
The features listed above will be made available to existing Dark Souls 2 owners via patch.
