Multiplayer title Metal Gear Online set to be revealed at the Video Game Awards 2014 in Las Vegas, next week.
Hideo Kojima has revealed last year that the studio is working on a multiplayer focused title, but little else is known at the time, though according to Kojima himself, an official reveal will be made at the Video Game Awards in December.
The first version of Metal Gear Online was made available back in 2008, and was bundled with the PlayStation 3 exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. More than one million players registered to play the game until June 2012, when publisher Konami decided to shut down the service.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is scheduled for launch in 2015, Kojima confirmed during this year's Tokyo Game Show in September. The game's prologue, Ground Zeroes was released on cross-gen consoles earlier this year.
The VideoGame Awards are scheduled to take place on Friday, December 5 in Las Vegas, the night before Sony's PlayStation Experience Community event. It will be streamed on various platforms, including PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and PC.
