Before its official release tomorrow, Ubisoft has prepared a launch trailer for the open-world racing game, The Crew, and has also made a promise that the game will not suffer the same launch problems as other recent high-profile releases.
The Crew is slated for release on Xbox 360, Xbox one, PlayStation 4 and PC tommorow. The game will not be made available on PlayStation 3 or Wii-U.
Ubisoft is yet confident that its MMO racing title will launch smoothly without issues that afflicted several other titles, such as Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Driveclub, or Assassin's Creed: Unity.
"For The Crew, we've reaped the benefits of a long term beta program, designed specifically to push our infrastructure as far as possible in real world situations, with thousands of players from all over the world playing the game at the same time," slead designer Serkan Hasan explained to the Metropolist.
Developer Ivory Tower stated that with the aid of the extended beta testing, Ubisoft is confident in a smooth release. The developer also acknowledges that some unforseen issues, such as WoD's DDoS attacks, could still arise and rain on the game's parade.
"The launch of any online game these days has potential issues, but I hope that players will be encouraged by our open approach." Hassan said. "If you had any doubts that we could pull this off, I hope that the betas proved our credentials and the game's stability."
