During Sony's E3 2015 press conference, Sony's Adam Boyes, VP of Developer Relations announced a remake for Final Fantasy VII.
The long-awaited remake of Final Fantasy VII is finally happening. Sony Computer Entertainment's Adam Boyes took to the stage during E3 2015 press conference to introduce a remake trailer. Boyes confirmed Tetsuya Nomura would be directing, and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima and producer Yoshinori Kitase also playing a role in the development.
There's no release window in sight, so we don't know when the game will come out. However, while the game will potentially land on other consoles, it will be available first on PlayStation 4.
The game will be dubbed Final Fantasy VII Remake, while the CG trailer showed several familiar characters, including Cloud and Barret, trudging through the slums of Midgar.
Hopefully, we will have more details tommorow, after Square Enix's press conference tommorow.
