When Sierra was revived by Activision last year, a new King's Quest was slated for release in 2015. Now, the company has announced the first chapter, A Knight to Remember will launch on July 28 on PC, and July 29 on consoles.
Sierra revealed the first chapter in the episodic reimagined version of the original game, A Knight to Remember - which will launch as a digital download in Europe on July 28 for PC, and on July 29 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Sierra also announced a bundle, which will comprise of 5 chapters - including a bonus playable story-epilogue. King's Quest: The Complete Collection, is now available for pre-order on PSN and on Steam. Xbox One pre-orders on the Xbox Games Store will begin on July 7 for the same price.
The game is developed by Odd Gentlemen, King's Quest is a reimagining of the original, supposedly bringing back the exploration, wit and wonder of the original series over 30 years ago. The first entry in a five-chapter arc, A Knight to Remember will bring original places, puzzles and characters to discover.
Chapters and epilogue can be downloaded in-game upon individual release throughout 2015 and 2016. The game will be available via PSN and Steam for 39.99EUR.
