Test Setup

CPU Intel Core i7-970 @ 4.0GHz (180W TDP)
Motherboard ASRock FM2A75M-HD+
RAM 8GB DDR3-1600
Storage OCZ Agility 3 60GB
Video card NVidia GTX 760
Monitor Samsung SyncMaster 2433
PSU Inwin Desert Fox 800W

Methodology

After prepping everything up, I booted the system and kept it in Idle for about 30 minutes. Afterwards, I prepared a number of load-tests (such as Prime95, and Furmark), and then I waited for the machine to return to idle. I noted the highest CPU temperature, comparing the differences with other air-coolers, including the stock AMD one, Xigmatek Aegir, and the Akasa Nero LX.

The temperature was registered by RealTemp 3.7 and SpeedFan 4.49. The room temperature was kept at a stable 26°C.
