FaceCrypt has revealed today its new facial recognition security solution for iOS. It is offered as an alternative to the Apple iPhone 5S fingerprint security technology, and uses the device’s front face camera to secure it with the user’s facial features. As such it is compatible with all iPhones and iPads.
FaceCrypt offers multiple levels of security access. The basic app is just $4.99, while the plus version is $7.99. The plus version uses a 256 bit industry standard encrypted vault system that allows users to store all their sensitive data or information in one centralized and safe location that only they can access.
Additionally remote FaceCrypt offers a back-up service retaining the same level of secure encryption.
The official launch date for the software is 27th November 2013 so it is available now, and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.
The FaceCrypt company, funded by Jeremy Rose, is an experienced provider of biometric security applications for prisons, governments, police departments, and corporations around the world for several years, and has now moved into the private sector with this latest iOS app.
