After several months of testing, Valve has finally released the Steam Music to all Steam Users.

With the newest Steam Client Update, the Steam Music Player is officially added to the package, with Valve promising it will continue to improve it and address feedback from users.

To mark the occasion, Valve is offering soundtracks to some of its most popular game soundtracks for free, while the actual game themselves will get a 75% discount until October 1. The offering includes, Portal, Half Life 2 and more.

The Steam Music Players enables in-game access to music files, which can be played via the platform’s Shift+Tab overlay.

This has been a big week for Steam: At first they announced the Discovery Update, which introduced a wide range of features designed to make game browsing a personalized experience. Games are recommended based on prior purchases, what and for how long you’ve been playing and friend recommendations. A new curator System has also been introduced in the process.
