My testing of UE Boom is that of the day-to-day user, taking into consideration the finer aspects of the speaker. I'm noting connectivity, volume, and audio quality. However, most of these tests are subjective, so keep that in mind.
I tested the UE Boom on multiple devices, using both MP3/AAC compressed files, as well as FLACs. Since Logitech touts the 360 degree sound, the sound is the same wherever you are positioned around the speaker.
The following tracks have been used for testing:
Imagine Dragons - Radioactive
Diablo Swing Orchestra - Of Kali ma Kalibre
Saltillo - Paintings for the Flood
Saltillo - Grafting
Massive Attack - Teardrop
Venetian Snares - Ongyilkos Vasarnap
In Flames - Lord Hypnos
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Thrift Shop
Excision & Datsik - Deviance
Archive - Bullets
Delerium - Poem for Byzantium
fun. - Carry On
Skrillex & Damian "JR Gong" Marley - Make it bun them
Metallica - Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm
Richard Walters - Redwoods
Cage the Elephant - Ain't no rest for the wicked
Of course, UE Boom also has speakerphone capabilities integrated in it, so I'll take a look at those as well.
