At Blizzcon this year, Blizzard has detailed the first expansion for Hearthstone, dubbed Goblins vs Gnomes.
Scheduled for release on PC, Mac and iPad, the expansion pack will add over 120 new cards, all of them themed around goblins and gnomes. The cards will be winnable in the game's arena mode or purchased with real-money or in-game gold just like the standard card packs are right now. As it stands, current dust and gold can be used to acquire the cards-packs when the expansion will be released.
The expansion pack also adds, a new spectator mode, which will most assuredly help improve the eSports aspect of the game, though Goblins vs Gnomes promises a lot of RNG.
"These pint-size foes don't always have the upper hand over the myriad mechanical contraptions they cook up, and the results can be . . . unpredictable," it added.
Among the cards, a new type of minion has been added, the mechs, which can be described as "quirky contraptions built to pack a creative spring-loaded punch to your game".
Below you will find the announcement trailer, as well as several new cards revealed at Blizzcon. Thanks PC Gamer!
