At CES this year, Cherry has showcased the "fastest" mechanical keyboard available, the MX Board 6.0, featuring RealKey Technology, promising to shorten the key debounce delay from the average of 20ms to 1ms.
The new technology is going to use the USB 3.0 speed, which will give users the fastest key response rate available. The mech has also switched from the traditional keystroke digital scanning tech to an older, but better analogue system, which will make key-ghosting essentially impossible and provide proper n-key rollover.
MX Board 6.0 features a 108/109-key layout, with aluminium top housing, with sanded finish and a grease resistant coating, as well as a rubber laminated palm rest with a magnetic connector.
The company estimates for the product's switch-type is a step over the classic 50-million keystrokes and is actually closer to around 100 million. Cherry also backs the product with a 3-year warranty.
As it stands, this is a high-end enthusiast machine, dedicated at professional typists, software developers, and PC gamers. Priced at $219, the peripheral will be made available in retail from Spring 2015. For more info, you can register for product-updates and availability info right here.
