Telltale Games has announced a partnership with Disney-owned Marvel Entertainment for a new game.
During a special event in San Francisco, Telltale and Marvel have announced that they will be working together on a project, which won't premioere until 2017. We don't have any specifics yet; what's it going to be about, or platforms it's expected to be released, though one would come to expect PC is certainity.
"Announced this evening in San Francisco, we're excited to reveal an all-new partnership with the incredible team at Marvel Entertainment. We'll be teaming up on the development of an upcoming Telltale game series project set to premiere in 2017!"
Marvel is just the latest in Telltale's team-up to produce good adaptations. The studio has dealt with franchises like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, Tales from the Borderlands, and an adaptation to Vertigo's The Wolf Among Us. They're even working on a Minecraft title.
In February Telltale has announced that it was expanding over its TV-show episodic title, and will bring to the fold new content in the future, though it's not clear what that means at the moment, and if any of the current partners, including Marvel, will be part of the this model.
