SilverStone releases the FTZ01 HTPC chassis

  • Published in Cases/ PSU news

Last year, SilverStone has released the RVZ01, a slim HTPC chassis in the Raven series. As a follow-up, the company has created the Fortress FTZ01, a similar case but with Fortress style design sensibilities.

The FTZ01 case is similar to RVZ01 in more than its form factor. It uses a PCI-E riser and custom designed fans to accomodate pretty much the largest consumer grade graphics card on the market, with decent air-cooling performance and even the ability to support liquid cooling. Designed for vertical or horizontal positioning, the case could be placed in a space-constrained environment.

Essentially, the case is very similar to the RVZ01, allowing you to create console-sized gaming systems supporting some some beefy hardware inside. Here are a few things you can expect from the FTZ01.

■ Aluminum unibody frame;
■ Graphics card support of up to 13-inches (33cm);
■ Mini-ITX motherboard & SFX PSU compatible;
■ Liquid cooling support (83mm height limitations for waterblock and radiator)
■ Positive air pressure design for excellent cooling/quietness and dust-prevention;
■ Fits in nearly any environment with horizontal or vertical orientation;

Lastly, here's a table detailings its layout, size and weight:
