PQI has revealed the iConnect, a portable solution for that can be plugged directly into an Apple device
Compatible with iPhone, iPad or iPod, the iConnect is an Apple certified Lightning interface flash-drive. It can act as expandable storage, allowing the user to back-up and store photos, music, contacts, video or any other data eating up the iOS device's internal memory.
The drive will be available in four capacities (128GB, 64GB, 32GB and 16GB) the device can be used for file sharing without Wi-Fi or use iTunes. PQI creates the ultra-speed and high efficiency iConnect dual flash drive (Lightning read 30 MB/sec, write 15 MB/sec) that allows users to easily backup their data in iOS devices or share files. In addition, iConnect has adopted the USB 3.0 technology.
One of iConnect’s key features is allowing you to backup and restore your contacts. With the purchase of a new phone, plugging in the iConnect will restore all contacts. Moreso, the device features the ability to encrypt and compress single or multiple files.
iConnect comes in 3 metallic colors: gold, silver and gray - matching the iPhone's color scheme.
PQI iConnect is slated to become available from Amazon, and Newegg this September. The MSRP varies between $59.99 for 16GB, $71.99 for 32GB, $107.99 for 64GB and $179.99 for 128GB.
