Asus ROG Strix X299-E Gaming review – HEDT to a new level

The long-waited launch of Intel’s new HEDT platform is over, so the CPUs and motherboards are or will be available shortly on the shelves. Most of the boards could be seen at Computex 2017, so there is no surprise in that department, but the performance and value is to be revealed in reviews.

The first motherboard that arrived on my desk is Asus ROG Strix X99-E Gaming. Let’s see together what the new platform brings in terms of performance and, most important, price, in the battle with AMD Ryzen.
