Leading Taiwan hardware manufacturer Cooler Master released its new VS Series of high-efficiency Power Supplies.
The VS Series uses a new 3D circuit design which increases power efficiency, improves heat dissipation, and reduces crosstalk and signal noise. It makes use of fewer cables, which in turn provides more free space inside the case, and improved airflow. The advanced single-rail power circuit boasts improved load balancing from previous models and better compatibility with graphics cards. The PSU’s life is increased by high-quality Japanese capacitors, which also improve holdup times and decrease power fluctuation. As such, the VS Series holds an 80 Plus Gold certification.
The PSU line’s cabling is semi-modular, with the basic system cables being hard-wired, while any additional leads can be attached by the user as they see fit for the build. The add-on cables use a flat-ribbon system that ease cable-management as they occupy less space and can be tied together in ways that round sleeved cabling cannot.
The new VS Series comes in 450W, 550W and 650W variants, and will be available in Europe soon. Price and availability vary according to region but the series is expected to retail in Europe for €67.14, €75.55, and €83.95 respectively for the three models.
