HIS announced the R9 270X IceQX² Turbo Boost Clock 2GB GDDR5, built with the company’s iPower design, while the extra PWM phases provide the card with higher and more stable power output to support better overclocking.
The core clock of the card has been factory set at 1100MHz, compared to the 1000MHz of the reference model.
With the latest technologies and features of R9 270X chipset, the card provides noticeably improved graphic performance over previous HIS cards. The IceQX² coolers ensure low, stable temperatures across the board. The card is cooler than the reference design and its noise level stays below 28dB while watching movies, surfing on internet and non-graphically-intensive activities. Even during gaming, the card remains very quiet.
The HIS R9 270X comes with the iTurbo overclocking software. Its user-friendly design allows one to control the temperature, speed and voltage of the card by simple increments. The card is further strengthened by HIS Long Lasting Design technology which, according to the manufacturer, effectively prolongs the life span of the card. The metal RIB provides extra strength to the PCBs to avoid warping. Loaded with some of AMD’s latest technologies, such as GCN and Apps Faster & Smoother, the card improves on computing performance, quality of gaming experience as well as power consumption.
The card currently retails for £155.99 and it is available in OCUK.
